Anti-betel campaign reached 23 million people!
In 2017 and 2018 we developed and ran two anti-betel campaigns, in collaboration with the People’s Health Foundation, the Ministry of Health and Sports and Vital Strategies, which funded the campaigns. The results of the post-campaign survey are now known.
The campaign featured hard-hitting TV and radio spots, featuring real-life cancer patients, and were shown during the campaign period on national TV and radio channels, and on screens in 700 YBS buses.
The post-campaign survey for the 2018 indicates that 81% of respondents remembers the campaign message and that we reached 22.95 million people in the 18 to 55 age group. Online we reached 5,1 Facebook users. The free publicity result was good too: the media published 43 articles and TV items about the campaign!
